History
The Law Office of Christopher Duby LLC started as a solo law firm in North Haven, Conn. in 2006. Within years, it grew into a boutique law firm concentrating on state and federal criminal defense. A team of six criminal trial lawyers is headed by Attorney Christopher Duby, the owner, founder and principal of the firm. Attorney Duby is one of twelve lawyers in Connecticut that is Board-certified as a Criminal Trial Advocates by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
Attorney Duby and his team represent people charged with all kinds of serious and life-altering offenses. Headquartered in Hamden, Conn., the lawyers with the firm represent those charged with or suspected of crimes throughout Connecticut and in the federal courts.
The lawyers with the firm, led by Attorney Duby, have tried dozens of cases to verdict in most every courthouse in Connecticut. Additionally, the Governor of Connecticut appointed Attorney Duby to the State Board of Mediation and Arbitration. Attorney Duby also served as a state court magistrate for five years.

Christopher Duby
Since 2005, Attorney Duby represented defendants charged with DWI/DUI, drug possession, drug sales, assault, murder, child sexual abuse, kidnapping, sexual assault, mail fraud, bribery, tax fraud, robbery, larceny, assault and a host of other crimes. He is board-certified and has tried dozens of cases to verdict throughout the State of Connecticut in the state and federal courts. He has argued cases to the Connecticut Appellate and Supreme Courts and is admitted in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Supreme Court, the Federal District Court for the District of Connecticut, the Federal District Court for the Southern District of New York and the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
He is the founder and principal of The Law Office of Christopher Duby. He is a high-school football and lacrosse official and is a member of the executive board of the New Haven Football Officials Association.
Attorney Duby served as the President of the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association after serving on the executive board for six years. He was appointed by Gov. Malloy to serve on the State Board of Mediation and Arbitration within the Connecticut Department of Labor. Lastly, he was appointed by the Connecticut Chief Justice as a court magistrate.

William Adsit
The first lawyer to join the Law Office of Christopher Duby LLC as an associate, Attorney Adsit represents clients charged with crimes in courts throughout Connecticut, including major felonies at jury trials. He also represents clients on criminal appeals and in petitions for writ of habeas corpus.

Robert O'Brien
Attorney O'Brien tried cases to a jury in Connecticut's state and federal courts. His clients have been accused of murder, arson, fraud and assault. He argued before the Connecticut Appellate and Supreme Courts and represents those convicted of crimes who seek to overturn their convictions.
